Honestly thought the emperor was going to be mean but he was actually really kind and cool。

I’m not sure why tbh, but BC to me is just pure entertainment。 It’s not particularly great, it’s pretty much just your average shonen。。。 However there’s something about it that I love and I can see myself rooting for these characters。

So far this series draaaaagggss。 The most interesting part I'd argue was in the last chapter where it appears a zombie attack is happening??I get the need to explain the inner workings of a magical world and such but still。 As they say, good storytelling involves *showing* not *telling* and most of this book is spent just telling things to the reader。 So far this series draaaaagggss。 The most interesting part I'd argue was in the last chapter where it appears a zombie attack is happening??I get the need to explain the inner workings of a magical world and such but still。 As they say, good storytelling involves *showing* not *telling* and most of this book is spent just telling things to the reader。 。。。more

I love this volume! This is the volume that I really admired Asta。 Imma protect him now! If you remember when he was invited in a ceremony and was degraded by the knights there。My man is so unaffected and just proved that he’s not just an ordinary! I’m excited for volume 4!

This series remains solid fun shonen。 Nothing amazing, typical of what you expect, but it's still pretty fun and the humor can be funny if a little juvenile。 Astra goes head to head with the main enemy of the last book but you learn of why he is the way he is。 It's actually a pretty good backstory and you can see where he's coming from even if it is very battle royale background。 But the next arc picks up quickly and you get to see the magic chain and who's on the very top。 But the big breakout This series remains solid fun shonen。 Nothing amazing, typical of what you expect, but it's still pretty fun and the humor can be funny if a little juvenile。 Astra goes head to head with the main enemy of the last book but you learn of why he is the way he is。 It's actually a pretty good backstory and you can see where he's coming from even if it is very battle royale background。 But the next arc picks up quickly and you get to see the magic chain and who's on the very top。 But the big breakout of the baddies makes this meet up very short。 Again, fun and enjoyable with solid art and good fight scenes。 The story itself is basic and doesn't stride to be something over the top or special。 Very happy being the middle ground manga and it's a quick read。 I read it on the shonen jump app and it takes me about 20 minutes to read a volume。 So for what it is, fun times for Astra and his crew。 A 3 out of 5。 。。。more

I love seeing growth like this。 Seeing members of other squads acknowledging Asta and Yuno once they see how strong they really are is gratifying。 Leopold is another character I love。

Okay, this is going to be random, but there's one specific part of this volume that caught my eye。During the fight between the Black Bulls, Golden Dawn, and Mars, Mimosa mentions that the royals scoff at working hard。 She says that they think it's beneath them and only peasants do that。 And I don't know what it is, but out of everything this volume threw at me, that's the thing that stuck out。 I think the reason is because this puts the royals on a whole different level of douchebaggery, but als Okay, this is going to be random, but there's one specific part of this volume that caught my eye。During the fight between the Black Bulls, Golden Dawn, and Mars, Mimosa mentions that the royals scoff at working hard。 She says that they think it's beneath them and only peasants do that。 And I don't know what it is, but out of everything this volume threw at me, that's the thing that stuck out。 I think the reason is because this puts the royals on a whole different level of douchebaggery, but also because it's such stupid elitist bullshit that my mind went into overdrive trying to make sense of it。 Not that I dislike this thinking, mind you, but just how fucking dumb it and yet makes perfect sense with their characters。Speaking of the royals, as of right now most of them are pretty much the same characters with slightly different speech patterns and wholly different magic。 While I don't have anything against Tabata's method of using Shounen Jump cliches at every corner, the royals are easily the most disappointing group of cliches so far。 As far as I can tell, the only purpose they serve is to be an obstacle for our heroes to overcome and prove them wrong。 Quite frankly, I'm kind of okay with this because at least the Wizard King, Klaus, and Mimosa are nice and balance out the assholes, but still they're easily the worst part of this series so far。Speaking of the Wizard King, I fucking love him。 I love how personable he is while still maintaining this air of importance and aloofness。 His interactions with Asta and Yuno are fucking adorable, I want to see more of him, please! On a completely unrelated note, I feel like Asta's and Yuno's rivalry is similar to Hinata's and Kageyama's from Haikyu and I am so there for it! I love me a healthy yet competitive rivalry! Finally, I'm having a blast seeing all of the creative ways magic can be used。 I'm also absolutely appalled at how horribly magic can be used to harm others。 The discussion on class and magic usage is also pretty neat, I'm assuming this new villain will be opening up a discussion on how classism can severely derail a person mentally。 I kinda hope he offs some of those royals。 Wouldn't be too sad if he did。That's all I've got for now。 This was a great volume, I'm having a blast reading this series! 。。。more

La accion continua justo donde termino el tomo anterior y sin duda las batallas siguen siendo igual de increibles, asi como vemos a Asta y Yuno volverse mas fuertes。

So after three books, I think I have a pretty clear image of what this series can offer。 And I'm really glad that it is not bad。 It has a lot of potentials and it works well in the realm of shonen。 However, there are a few things that bug me - even though they are the shonen tropes。 The main hero Asta is just a meh guy, with special powers, incredibly strong guy with a dream he cannot possibly achieve。 I got used to that, it's in Naruto, One Piece and many other series。 So I try to ignore this f So after three books, I think I have a pretty clear image of what this series can offer。 And I'm really glad that it is not bad。 It has a lot of potentials and it works well in the realm of shonen。 However, there are a few things that bug me - even though they are the shonen tropes。 The main hero Asta is just a meh guy, with special powers, incredibly strong guy with a dream he cannot possibly achieve。 I got used to that, it's in Naruto, One Piece and many other series。 So I try to ignore this fact and focus on other things。I am surprised how much I like the art。 I think the author is a really great artist and is passionate about their work。 There are nice establishing shots, the action is smooth and the environment is not bad。 What I do not like is some of the character designs and their similarities, but I understand the concept, that they are family and they should resemble each other。In my mind what the series fails to deliver is a bigger scope and cohesive world。 Yes, it is nice we have a dream of main (two main) protagonist, but the world feels hollow and technically very shallow。 I am afraid that this is a trend of modern shonen writers who rather than go"show less", show a lot and think that it is enough but this doesn't work for me。 I think it feels like later parts of Naruto, where everything was just too convenient。With this comes the "goal" of the world - what are its issues? Other invading kingdoms? Well, yes but no。 Demons? there was mentioned only one on the first page of the first volume。 Bad people and division between aristocracy and peasants? Yes, but also no。Characters are not bad - at least the main ones。 They have limits and things that drag them down - and it's great to see them struggle and empathise。 This cannot be said for some bad guys, but so far there were very little of those。 I just hope they will not all be "evil for the sake of evil" or repeat the arc of Gaara from Naruto。I would love this series to be a little bit better, a little bit more structured because it has some potential to be more fun。 And the rule of cool is fine by me - but it cannot be overdone。 We shall see in the next arc! 。。。more

The fighting scenes in the dungeon really made me nervous。 It may not be exciting as the previous volume but it was good。Mars, Nozel and Feugoleon。 HOT。 Just love how Klaus loathed Yuno and Asta in the last volumes and how he came to acknowledge their efforts and them as human being in this volume is just so lovely。 He already had my heart there。We already got to see the captains in this volume and things about to go down in the next volume and I’m pretty sure it will be amazing and exciting as The fighting scenes in the dungeon really made me nervous。 It may not be exciting as the previous volume but it was good。Mars, Nozel and Feugoleon。 HOT。 Just love how Klaus loathed Yuno and Asta in the last volumes and how he came to acknowledge their efforts and them as human being in this volume is just so lovely。 He already had my heart there。We already got to see the captains in this volume and things about to go down in the next volume and I’m pretty sure it will be amazing and exciting as this one。Really recommend this manga ❣️ 。。。more

This will be a combined review of the first through third volumes。 Black Clover follows the journey of two orphans who have been close friends since the day they were dropped on a church’s doorstep。 Loud and rambunctious Asta is strangely gifted with no magic in a world where everyone possesses it, while quiet and patient Yuno appears to be one of the most talented magic-users of his age。 The pair seeks to excel as members of the Magic Knights, until one of them will inevitably become the Wizard This will be a combined review of the first through third volumes。 Black Clover follows the journey of two orphans who have been close friends since the day they were dropped on a church’s doorstep。 Loud and rambunctious Asta is strangely gifted with no magic in a world where everyone possesses it, while quiet and patient Yuno appears to be one of the most talented magic-users of his age。 The pair seeks to excel as members of the Magic Knights, until one of them will inevitably become the Wizard King。 PROS:- Asta and Yuno’s relationship。 It’s so nice to see a friendship between two people who are constantly inspiring each other。 I love that each of their individual efforts pushes the other to work harder and do better, but not in a way that’s jealous or malicious。 It’s pure, friendly competition! - A well-defined magic system。 Although I suspect there’s still plenty I have yet to learn about how magic works in Clover Kingdom, I really appreciate the attention to detail thus far。 The rules and boundaries are easy to understand and pretty concrete。 - The Magic Knights factions。 This is kind of an extension of the above; likewise, I only know so much about the factions at this point。 But! What I’ve learned so far is very interesting, especially in terms of class structure and social stigmas。 - Concrete development? I like that Asta’s aspirations in relation to rising among the ranks of the Magic Knights, then becoming the Wizard King, feel like a goal with concrete steps and aims。 The same could go for Noelle’s intentions of learning how to control her magic。 It feels very well structured (as opposed to, say, Naruto’s more idealized system)。 CONS:- I don’t really have any at the moment! I think it’s still too soon to say what I feel。 This isn’t a bad thing。 It’s just a side effect of being a shounen manga, where chapters are short and fast paced, so you need to cover more ground than you actually think to get a good idea of how you feel about it as a whole。FINAL RATING: N/A 。。。more

This was interesting。 Lots of action。 Or class discrimination or both。The story is easier to follow when not shouted at the audience and I can just read it。
